Shoei Motorcycle Helmet

For more than 40 years Shoei has been a symbol of perfectionism, quality, and safety that are never compromised and often ahead of the rest. A Shoei motorcycle helmet is never a finished product continuously with Shoei continuously striving to build a better helmet.

Shoei has never lost their pioneer spirit and are dedicated to continuously improve their helmets using technology to optimize the safety features of their helmets. They've been building helmets since 1958 and they will be around for another 50 years I'm certain.

Eitaro Kamata was the brain child and the spirit of the founding of Shoei. His first products were designed just for the racing market and it was during the late 1960's the Shoei helmets took hold around the world for street riders too.

There is a dedicated team of workers at Shoei surprisingly making up less than 500 workers. Each worker considers each individual helmet as a personal goal and therefore you will hardly ever find a Shoei product on the market. This is a team that takes great pride in what they do.

Wondering what it is that makes up a Shoei helmet. Of course safety is of utmost important and thus the most high tech materials are used for the shell and the liners but there's also the element of comfort and Shoei once again shines.

1. Ventilation
Good ventilation with give the rider great air flow to keep you comfortable on the road and this is achieved using not only intakes but also mechanisms which remove the hot air from the helmet. The V shape creates a negative pressure using the wind stream and then drawing the warm air away from your head. The technology is known as Aero-Vortex Ventilations. Remember that. It's important!

That's combined with the hyper dual liner ventilation. The liner which is a shock absorber is actually made up of two parts. This system works in conjunction with the other ventilation to remove the humid air from the driver's face.

Combine that with the sightlation system that is found in every full face Shoei helmet and you've got optimum ventilation. It actually has two functions. First it will provide fresh air for you to breath and then it will steer the air to help keep the shield un-fogged.

2. Interior Padding
Whether you are racing along at extreme speeds on the track or cruising across the country the padding fits snug to your head always providing a comfortable fit. There are no overlapping pieces to rub or cause friction and it also means there is no noise from the turbulence. The foam molds to your head over time and your helmet will quite literally fit like a glove.

The high end models have a completely removable liner that can be changed in just a matter of minutes and you can choose from seven different sized cheek pads for a tailored fit. It takes comfort to a new level.

3. CX-1 Shield
This is a very unique shield because it attached to the helmet using a spring loaded ratchet system rather than the traditional screws. Pull two levers and it's detached. It's that simple and reattaching is just as easy.

This system doesn't need a shield cover leaving the shield with a sleek cover.

4. CX-IV Visor
This is the next level of Shoei technology and although it looks similar to other visor technology it's not. It has a wider shield and a unique visor locking system and it works only on the newest helmets. Be sure to check it out.

If you ride motorcycle you take your safety seriously and that's why you need to own a Shoei motorcycle helmet. It's a name you can trust with your life.
